Warrick Palmateer (ceramicist) and myself have been working on films together since 2018. I couldn't think of a better person to feature in the first pilot episode of 'All Good Things Take Time Friend'. While working on 'Present In The Current' an art show hosted at Wanneroo Regional Gallery between October 2025 and January 2026, we decided to make this accompanying film to further explain Warrick's spherical forms and a little about the story behind his work and philosophy as well as our collaboration as artists based in Yanchep.
We spent many hours in his Yanchep based studio, capturing each segment of what it takes to create his renowned spherical forms. It’s meditative to witness a master at work in a setting like this. A lot of people see his work in galleries and at exhibitions but have no idea how his work comes together, this film is an intimate look into that process while Warrick looks over his career that has spanned four decades.
I'm so grateful to work so closely with someone like Warrick, a true wizard of his craft but also one of the best people I know, a real creative/life mentor.
Additional Filming: Lee Jessamine.
